Super Hero Camp at Odyssey School, July 18 – July 22, ages 5-8 Discover your hidden super powers at the Superhero Academy! Create your own secret identity, superhero mask, and costume as you meet notorious villains who will challenge you to face incredible obstacles. This class will help you to uncover the practical everyday problem-solving skills you will need to battle problems like a champion. Combine life skills with creative dramatics as you explore your superhero identity through theater, games, story, art, music and more. Family Grimm, Fairy Tale Detectives (Black Box Performance) June 27 – July 1, Grades: 3rd-6th Join the Grimm family in this action-packed detective play. Parents have disappeared and the Grimm children are sent to live with a Grandmother they thought was dead! Who is she? What happened to their parents? Is that an earthquake or a GIANT ON THE LOOSE???!!! The children discover the Brothers Grimm are distant relatives. And all the stories they wrote? Those weren’t fairy tales, those things really happened. Bring your favorite fairy tale characters to life in this modern day mystery filled with fantastic characters. Daily rehearsals run 9 AM-4 PM Monday through Friday in the Black Box Theatre, Directed by Diana Thompson.
All About Alice…in Wonderland That Is!!! (Based on Alice in Wonderland By Lewis Carroll) July 11 – 15!!Grades:1st-3rd If you love Alice in Wonderland, you will LOVE this creative dramatics program. Tasty tea parties with the Mad Hatter, the Dormouse and the March Hare…games of croquet with Flamingo mallets and the nasty Queen of Hearts…and falling down the rabbit hole…well that’s just the beginning. Don’t forget to smile with the Cheshire cat and sit on an oversized mushroom with the great green Caterpillar . The Dance Fairies!from Rainbow Magic, (Performance) July 5 – 9, Grades: 1st-3rd Dancing Fairies are depending on you to save the magic ribbons from Jack Frost and his creepy goblins. Create wonderful characters, sparkling fairy wings, and an enchanting performance as you dance into the world of Rainspell Island . Based on the magical tales by Daisy Meadows and the Dance Fairies. Time: 9 AM-4 PM Monday through Friday, Performance 3-4 PM Saturday, July 9th in El Pomar Theatre. Directed by Diana Thompson
