Fairytales and Feelings

Parent Child classes
(Beginner classes age 4 – 8)
Parent/ child class designed to teach emotional intelligence skills, the ability to recognize, identify and manage every day emotions in one self and others. The class incorporates creative dramatics, storytelling, music, puppetry, learning supplements and crafts. Children establish a strong foundation for emotional maturity when they explore their own emotional responses and develop a greater understanding of others. Parents and children develop effective communication tools in a playful environment. Each class addresses a different emotional concern such as learning frustration, disappointment, or grumpiness. Parents and students who have attended the class and engaged the tools confirm this system works!!!

Students will:

  • Build effective communication tools around day-to-day emotional concerns
  • Leverage I.Q. into a higher level of emotional understanding and a greater chance for success
  • Learn to recognize, identify and manage emotions in a playful environment
  • Gain insight to their own unique emotional personality
  • Receive parent supplements to extend the learning at home

Advanced Classes
(Advanced ages 8-12)
Play-building program where students explore emotional development through masks, fairytales and original stories. Students develop their own emotional management tools through improvisation and scene development. Programs may include a performance.

In School Programs
In school programs are designed to help students develop emotional maturity. These may be delivered by a DAI facilitator, or training may be provided to in house staff.
